Sonmarg/Srinagar (J&K): Referring to people who are afraid of travelling to J & K due to insurgency, Dr Farooq Abdullah said, the Yamraj is everywhere. Though J & K is Paradise on Earth, still people have fear in travelling to this region. Due to the violence and insurgency, they are not sure whether they go back live or not. But, I am happy have come, you made it a point to come here. Like you fought the fear came here, you have seen how secured it is.  When you go back home tell your friends, what you have witnessed here, he said.

Dr, Farooq Abdullah, the former Chief Minister of J & K was the Chief Guest at the Closing Ceremony of Greentech Foundation’s two days meet on Safety and Energy.

Welcoming the gathering, Mr Kamaleshwar Sharan, CEO of Greentech Foundation said, what we hear about Jammu & Kashmir about safety is different from what we have been witnessing for the past couple of days. There is a perception gap. We need to correct this. We will spread a positive word about it. We will convey the ground reality of the region.

Recalling an incident which he witnessed in Dubai on a 31st New Year evening, where Dr Abdullah saw a hotel caught up with fire, killing many. Later it was found that it didn’t have fire fighting mechanism in place. We have been constructing sky scrapers, but fail to give attention to fire safety and security, Dr Abdullah said.

We are constructing some major tunnels in Jammu & Kashmir.  A section of it is going to be open this winter. This will pave a way for people to travel to region even in Winters, which otherwise was difficult so far. These tunnels also open up another dimension to winter sports. This may help us improve our medals tally in Olympics. Many smaller nations won more medals than us. We need tunnels. They are important not just for enabling travel in winter but strategical reasons for our army, the veteran Politician from J & K said.

Referring to Corona which crippled mighty nations like the USA, our India has fared well, despite the highest poverty. Our Scientific and Medical community made our country proud he said.

Giving hope to his audience who are comprised of Safety and Energy Professionals Greentech Foundation has drawn from across India, Dr Farooq Abudullay, a former Union Minister for Energy said, we will get over insurgency soon. Keep faith.  We have to survive and we make our nation survive.

God is neither in Temple nor Mosque. The God, the Allah is in every one of us. It is an earnest desire for all of us to live together and progress together. We made a nation that stands for all, said Dr Abdullah.

The Holy Quran teaches us to respect each other, respect humanity. When you go back home make a new India, make India for all. Before I sleep I want to see a new India. The liberators of this nation, Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru couldn’t see. But, I am optimistic and I would like to see a new India, the India that stands for all.
