Consilium is the first science-fiction in Kannada language ever. The story revolves around two techie brothers, Dhananjay and Samruddh. The focus is about the mysterious events that take place around them which takes cracks their emotions, decision making, values, ethics, and sanity. How they overcome it and emerge stronger together is the thread of the film.
Consilium is a Latin word which means Plan, Suggestion, Advice, Wisdom, Purpose and Judgement.
This film is produced by Seetharama Shasthri Production House, written & directed by Samarth. Samarth who is basically from Mandya, is a techie working in Bangalore. He has always been passionate about direction/acting. He has directed and produced many short movies with unique concepts since his college days. He has written screenplays with unique concepts and wishes to continue direction and acting post Consilium too. This film marks the debut of Samarth in Sandalwood.
The filming of Consilium started in June 2018. The film is shot across Karnataka and was completed in January 2019. The post-production work took 2.5 years, to complete CGI elements. The film is gearing up for theatrical release on December 10th in Mysore and Bangalore. The team to release it across after seeing the response in these two cities
Executive Producer of the film is Reshma Rao, Cinematographer is Sudharshan GK. Music is scored by Dwaipayan Singha and Santhosh Arumugam.
Samarth, Preetham, Archana Lakshminarasimhaswamy, Kushi Achar are playing the lead roles amongst the others like Jagadish Malnad, Siddu, Harish SK, Abhishek, Master Shreyas, and Master Vineet.
A family of techies is all ready for the release of the film.
“It is a dream-come-true to see the “coming soon” posters on multiplexes, the dream that started in 2003, the dream of me and my brother Preetham who is also the hero in the movie is coming to reality. And what better way to finish a sad year,” said Samarth.
Reshma Rao, executive producer and wife of Samarth, says that they had to juggle in between IT jobs while working on their passion, with many sleepless nights, eating at odd times. “But it never felt like a struggle because we were working on our dream. And the movie has come to its fruition which happened only with the support and guidance of Bama,” she added.
