For most people, a 9-to-5 job represents stability. For independent artist Keya Kass, it became the foundation from which she quietly built something much bigger.
Her music journey did not begin with a record label, an established production house or a team of industry professionals. It began in a room, alongside college, work and the financial responsibilities that came with pursuing an education.
While completing her studies and managing an education loan, Keya Kass was also creating music.
There was never a point where she had the luxury of putting everything else on pause and simply saying, I am going to become an artist now.
So she built the two lives alongside each other.
By day, there was work and responsibility. Outside those hours, there was songwriting, production, ideas, recordings and the gradual construction of an artistic identity.
Her earliest music came together from her room before she eventually moved into professional studios. But the room remains significant to her story because it represents where the idea of becoming an artist stopped being a dream and became a decision.

That approach is now translating into an increasingly active release schedule. Keya Kass has released five singles in 2026, with more music already in the pipeline as she continues to expand her catalogue and artistic presence.
The next phase is set to be even more visual. With several upcoming releases planned, Kass is also looking toward 2027, when she plans to begin work on music videos and take the visual side of her artistry to the next level.
From a room where she first began creating music to professional studios and a growing catalogue of releases, Keya Kass is steadily turning an independent music journey into a larger artistic movement — and there appears to be considerably more to come.
