Mumbai, (Maharashtra) [India] October 4, 2025: The highly awaited family drama Furrr kicked off production today with a polished press and media event in Mumbai. The air buzzed with anticipation as photographers positioned their cameras, audio devices hummed to life, and reporters sharpened their queries. The event unfolded with polished efficiency—no over-the-top spectacle, just raw enthusiasm and clear vision.

A standout moment was the ceremonial clapboard snap onstage, witnessed by the gathered press. The film’s cast and crew united for this time-honored ritual, marking the project’s start amid grins, cheers, and a collective resolve. Snapped by a flurry of camera flashes, the scene conveyed a straightforward promise: this story arrives with real commitment.

Director Shailesh Srivastava, speaking during the media interaction, expressed heartfelt conviction about the project. “This film speaks for the common man. It’s about ordinary lives, extraordinary struggles, and the hope that keeps people moving forward. I’m grateful to be steering a story that is so emotionally grounded,” he said.

Lead actor Omkar Das Manikpuri, beloved across the nation as Natha, added a refreshing dose of authenticity. “The strength of this story lies in its honesty. It mirrors the lives we often walk past without noticing. I’ve always believed in portraying characters that remind us of reality rather than fantasy,” he remarked, receiving a nod of approval from attending media.

Producer Madhup Kumar, representing Chitragupta Arts in association with A S Enterprise Production, outlined the film’s core intent. “Furrr is not about grandeur — it’s about truth. It’s designed to move audiences, not just entertain them. This is a film that will make people think, feel, and perhaps even question their own choices,” he stated with confidence.

The creative lineup behind Furrr is as compelling as its storyline. With direction by Srivastava, production by Kumar, story and screenplay by Akhilesh Chaudhary, and music by Ashok Shivpuri, the project brings together a strong artistic unit. Lyrics have been penned by Dr. Ranju Sinha, Kumar Sona, Rakesh Chandra Srivastava, and Mobin, while vocals are delivered by Rakesh Chandra Srivastava, Satendra Arya, Divyanshi Maurya, Manisha Srivastava, Shivam Singh, and Rupesh Mishra.

The cast features a spirited blend of seasoned performers and fresh talent. Alongside Manikpuri, the film stars Sonia Sharan, Aditi Khatri, Bharat Kesharwani, Rajendra Karn, Siti Kant Sahay, Dr. Anil Kumar Srivastava, Dr. Rajesh Srivastava, Jafar Khan, and Karan. Each cast member carries a distinct role, designed to reflect layered interpersonal dynamics and generational perspectives.

Filming is scheduled to commence in November across the culturally rich backdrops of Lucknow and Raebareli, chosen for their rustic charm and emotional authenticity. Though the team chose not to disclose storyline specifics, they hinted that Furrr will explore family bonds, personal ambitions, emotional rifts, and moral turning points — delivered through performances that lean more toward restraint than theatrics.

Furrr marks the second major outing by Chitragupta Arts, following the success of Palak, a heartfelt film about a visually impaired girl navigating social prejudices. Starring Atul Shrivastava, Shila Sharma, and Tulika Banerjee, Palak had resonated deeply with audiences. With Furrr, the banner continues its mission of producing cinema that holds up a mirror to society rather than just offering escapism.

With its grounded storytelling approach and emotionally charged vision, Furrr is already being viewed as more than just another film launch — it’s the beginning of a narrative that promises relevance, reflection, and resonance. The camera has rolled, and the journey has officially begun.
